George James reflects on and gives us a taste of his childhood

Part 1. A fascinating conversation with George and Dawn James and their daughter Amanda. While everyone chips in George steals the show with his stories of life as a 9 year old on a fruit orchard in Cudlee Creek, leaving home at 2am to go to the market to deliver fruit, either on an old truck or the 2 horse trolley. His memories date back to before and during World War2 and include stories of the Italian prisoners of war that were sent to that area to work. This is great listening.
